Michael & Corrine
Location: Mount Lofty House
Wedding Date: March 2008
Corrine met the man of her dreams at the Exchange Pub. She had known his 3 brothers, but did not realise there was one more!
The Perfect Proposal!
Corrine was preparing for their 4 year anniversary when Michael called her from the bedroom to watch Mya (their daughter) roll over; albeit knowing that there was no way 5 week old baby could possibly roll over on its own. Still, she walked into the bedroom, questioning Michael about it whilst rolling Mya over herself, she noticed on the back of Mya’s jumpsuit a note reading "Mummy will you marry my Daddy?"
Let The Planning Begin
Corrine, a professional wedding planner from Diamond Wedding Planners, started planning her elegant and stylish wedding as soon as they were engaged. She had folders of information. She knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it!
Wedding Style
Corrine wanted her special day to be perfect. Elegant & Classy - Black, White and Silver. Their spectacular wedding invitations were delivered in beautiful boxes, with all aspects of the wedding décor and fashion matching in a balanced way.
Let There Be Cake!
A fabulous 3-tier Square Mud cake with black ribbon at the bottom of each layer with Swarovski Crystals over the ribbon. Simple, yet fashionable.
Fabulous Wedding Flowers
Huge over the top flowers for centerpieces created from fabulously fragrant roses, tulips and Singapore Orchids.
An Amazing Day
Corrine, her mother and bridesmaids all stayed at Mount Lofty House the night before the wedding, so they only needed to walk down the stairs and walk the 5 minute long aisle, where over 100 special guests were treated to amazing location scenery on the ledge of Mount Lofty House where their romantic wedding ceremony took place. Having one-year-old Mya made Corrine and Michael’s wedding a most magical experience. The wedding ceremony was then followed by an elaborate reception held in the Piccadilly room at Mount Lofty House.
Special Moments…
Seeing Michael look up at her as she walked down the aisle was very emotional and having her mum so involved in the wedding and sharing her wedding with her daughter was absolutely special. It was really just a huge party with all their friends and family! They loved it!
THE Photographer Of Choice
Michael and Corrine chose Glenn Hawke Photography as Glenn had previously photographed one of Corrine’s best friends wedding. Corrine got to know Glenn when she was doing her best friend’s makeup and immediately knew he was the man for their wedding. During the wedding, they didn't know he was there and when he was, he was like a part of the wedding!!
Advice For Other Couples…
Take it all in, relax and enjoy it, because next thing you know it is over!! We were really down for about a week after our wedding, because it is just such a great emotional roller coaster over a week long span; you work so hard to plan it...Then it's over and just another day!
